Bio: Candice Lefeber, MPH

Candice Lefeber has been the Executive Director of the West Virginia Chapter, American Academy of Pediatrics since 2016. Since completing her Master of Public Health degree at WVU in 2004, she has worked closely with West Virginia maternal and infant birth outcome data, substance use during pregnancy, and public health policy. Through her experience as a Court Appointed Special Advocate and foster parent, she has developed a passion for advocacy to protect and improve kids’ health in West Virginia.  During her time as the ED, she is most proud of the Chapter’s annual “Child Health Advocacy Day” at the WV Capitol. Candice is a mom of three awesome children. She enjoys traveling and spending time with her husband and family outdoors.
